DENTAL HYGIENISTS’ / ASSISTANTS’ PROGRAM
All Dental Hygienists and Dental Assistants
will get priority seating at the following course.

This course will cover the following topics:

• The function and role of the dental hygienist as it applies to today’s dynamic field
  of dentistry.
• The dental hygiene process of care.
• Patient assessment and dental hygiene diagnosis.
• A review of the phases of dental hygiene treatment plan process, including: planning, developing, implementing and evaluating the dental hygienist’s treatment plan.
• Special emphasis will be placed on dental hygiene treatment planning of the periodontally involved patient.
• Treatment plan presentation skills will also be discussed.

Sample treatment plans and role-playing dialogue will be featured. The benefits to participants attending this course include increased treatment plan acceptance by patients as well as greater confidence and skill in treatment plan presentation.
